How to Install git-gui software package in Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin)

git-gui software package provides fast, scalable, distributed revision control system (GUI), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install git-gui

git-gui is installed in your system.

Make ensure the git-gui package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep git-gui *

You will get with git-gui package name, version, architecture and description in a table
